Mechanics
- RPM is a token bucket per API key; exceeding it returns
429with aRetry-Afterheader — honor it. - Monthly quota counts executed order placements; it resets on the 1st (UTC). At 80% you get a warning field and an
X-PredArena-Quota-Warningheader; at 100%,429 QuotaExceeded. - Maker fills of your resting orders and conditional triggers are executed by the platform and do NOT consume your monthly quota.
dry_runpreviews do not write anything and do not consume monthly placement quota, but API-key previews still count against the per-minute token bucket.
Design bots to be quota-frugal: preview only when sizing matters, poll the portfolio instead of re-listing orders, and prefer resting limit orders over re-quoting market orders in a loop.
